Raindrops keep falling on my head
There is much comfort sitting at home on a reclining arm chair while gazing upon the distance indulging in the thunderstorm outside. Much serenity and peacefulness amidst the chaos, kinda parallels my internal state of mind. Which is a good thing, isnt it? :) And with Dominoes Pizza for dinner (which most of it got swallowed by my brother & friends i must add), this is how i like to enjoy my Halloween. Oh, and not forgetting the Starbuck's Christmas Edition of the toffee nut frappucino and the very pretty cup i got just now while out with T, the fuzzy feeling of Christmas is creeping up!!
Can't Wait :)

Recently i've been slightly obsessed with surfing blogs which feature scrapbook making, or just handmade stuff in general that i decided to buy my own materials and make my own hairband (...let's just say i'll stick to buying hairbands in the future, hehe) and even wanted to try my hand at scrapbooking.. well, the best part of the entire scrapbook was the stickers we bought, haha :) floral patterns, pastel colours, checkers and plaits, i think i'm delving into a granny :)

And i've been looking at so many beautiful things, it makes me happy and i hope it'll make you too : )

myths & legends
Farhan told me about this just now, and i googled it when i got home.

The Balinese believe that lovers (unmarried couples) are forbidden to go to Tanah Lot. It is said that they’ll break up soon. The meaning of ‘Tanah’ is earth and ‘Lot’ means sea. This symbolizes the union of natural and cosmic elements. A powerful combination of energies.

Do you believe in it?

Runway.
Last Thursday:

I was privileged to be a part of the behind-the-scenes for the Topshop/Topman runway show at ION, thanks to Monkey ;) Behind the glitz and glamour, much work and effort had to be done to prepare for it, ranging from : making sure all the clothes were ready, all sensors in the clothings were removed, steaming the clothes, making sure that each model had everything they needed for their particular set, learning how to dress them, taping the bottom of their sponsored Doctor Martens' boots..

By evening, almost all the models arrived and each of us were assigned to dress two models, a guy and a girl each. There were around 20 of us, so that would mean that there were approximately 40 models around. It was like walking around in the land of Barbie & Ken! The girls were tall and skinny...the guys were muscular and very chiselled.. YUMMY TO THE MAX. :) Oh, these models went for casting and when chosen, flew into Singapore just for this runway event! My male model was Brazillian (damn hot but damn flirty zomg) and my female model was a 19 year old Russian.

And when the runway show finally started, it was a mad flurry of activity!! The shouting and screaming of the events coordinator to make sure that each model was ready before they were sent onto the runway, the anxiety and rush of each model to change in an extremely short period of time (this was when i realised they were super pro at stripping hahaha), the flaring of tempers when it was hard to wear certain apparel like stockings, drying of perspiration and putting on fresh makeup..and of course there was the occasional crazy girls who'd dance to the music, a stark contrast from the tension and intensity! Oh, and my favourite part of the show was when in the midst of this craziness backstage and speed changing, Monkey and i were still able to come up with stupid comments and laugh at each other!

I'm kinda liking it :)

Travelling
And because i slept for 14hours last night, and because i just had porridge at 11pm, i decided to look through all the photo albums of my travels. perhaps sieve for some family photos, or perhaps search for some photo-worthy images. i realized that i like taking portrait photos instead of landscape! and i'm kinda intrigued by the architectural aspect of buildings...can tell from the copious amount of building photos i took, haha. However, i wished i had a better camera to document my travels at that point of time. ):

Japan: Tokyo's Tsjuki fish market.

A cultural dance in the middle of the streets in Myeong-Dong, Seoul, Korea.

Jonkers Street in Malacca, Malaysia

Children in Bali, Indonesia selling knick knacks.

Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, Australia.

A Sunday flea market in Brisbane, Australia.

The sides of Birmingham Palace, London.

A Showgirl mobile advertisement in Las Vegas, America.

Kinda spent awhile editing these photos, still have more to edit but i think that's enough for today.
Still wish i had nicer photos with a better camera with me last time. ):

So after the client meeting yesterday, i satisfied my growling tummy at Wasabi Tei unagi, mixed sushi and best of all, mixed sashimi! ;D luckily A is a Sashimi fan too, yum yum ;) after scouring far east (and looking for her Woodwood shop!!!), we found ourselves swooning over shoes. came online and immediately logged on to their website...

Purple with Madras Plait

it's super pretty right?
but it's not so pretty on the pocket. ):

so i decided...to pack my shoerack! for hope of creating some space to store future shoe purchases, hehe.
clearing the shoe rack have been bugging me for a long time already, i hate how my maid stacks up shoes on top of one another,
gets on my nerves!! so today, being a lazy, bright and sunny Saturday....

This is quite a crazy number of shoes right! Considering it's all mine.
I'm not boasting or anything, cus most of my shoes are realllly cheap, haha. ;)
When i was drying my shoe rack and shoes in the corridor,
it looked like i was setting up a pasar malam store. =|

So now, i need a new shoe rack!!

Melancholic Nostalgia

there's this longing. yet there's this trepidation.
a sense of melancholy that engulfs both chambers of your heart,
flowing in from the ventricle and out of the atrium...
this never ending flow
that infiltrates your veins and arteries and
ultimately consumes your entire being.

try to fight it, but the toxic is within.

purge
detox
flush.

but the faint stain serves reminiscent.

Fun with Weet and Mel (:

Last weekend i finally met up with Weeteng while working for the Hillary Challenge! Imagine having so much free time while waiting that the organizer asks you to go to the nearby coffeeshop to have a drink before everything starts, and us walking all the way to IMM to buy 3 packets of sushi, ljs fries and bubbletea. we had a crazy random photoshoot which made us laugh like two mad bitches, finding props in our bags (archie comics, the food they gave us, umbrella) to take photos with, and coming up with funny spontaneous photos! but my favourite part is the long heart to heart talk we had (: like i told Weet, it's like them paying us to catch up with each other! and oh, did i mention that our job was to be stationed at this traffic light and when the groups of cyclists came, all we had to do was to press the traffic light for them?

Master Mind.

The human mind is one of the scariest elements.

It posseses the capacity for intelligence and wit, and yet it is the same God given gift that is a double-edged sword that pierces right through, back where the entities of compassion and love resides. The contraption of crafty, malleable thoughts permeates evilness, and penetrates through beauty which is often described as being skin deep. The human mind is one of the scariest elements, but not the scariest. Every superhero needs his sidekick, just like how Batman needs Robin, and how the human mind needs words. Words are scarier than thoughts. Words are transcient, but its implications leave a legacy of its own. The human mind creates thoughts that translates to the verbal form of words and it is this exact same words which haunts the human mind, twists it up and fucks it up. Mind Fuck, they say. The combustion of human minds and words is like throwing a sharp boomerang of a dagger. It will come back to you, ultimately.

I gotta feeling
that tonight's gonna be a good good night, and it was! the only upsetting part was the dark bluish/ greyish bag that i saw yesterday SOLD OUT when i went back today. it's really a sign, damnit. so anyhow, doing our hair/ UP 3d / 2ridleypark/ nasrin's/ macdonalds/ suspension bridge. cool breeze, bright lights, music, company. (: so we talked throughout the night, our hopes, our ideals, our aspirations. we're all young, we should try. be enterprising, and if we fail it's okay, get back up when it knocks us down. it's get rich or die trying! but we'll always remind ourselves to be happy, and to give back to society. thats what they always say, but we'll make sure that we do it when and if we become rich in future. plus, it's scary because in one year time i'd be graduating. notice the lack of an 's' behind year. =| so i'd be expected to enter the working force, expected to generate income, expected to do this, expected to do that. but as for now, i'm still clueless. i've one year to find my direction, to decide what i really want to do for the rest of my life. sigh, what is one year? one year is all we had, but we lost it anyway.

Rants of a Friday early morning
Perhaps falling ill has been a blessing in disguise. i've slept considerably more the past few days and drank more water! these two are important essentials which i often neglect in my normal routine of life. but i hate the weather these few days > :[ so warm and humid, hatexyzzz. everyone remember to drink more water please! ooh, and finally BSlut and i are sick of shakerfries already. now its LJS shrimps, yumyum. :D dontknow what i'm talking already. anyway, i find guys who are desperate very annoying. they message you nonstop 24/7, tell you jokes and tell you that they like you and all that crap but when you reply saying that you're not interested they just somehow magically disappear. but thats good anyhow, cannot be bothered with those people woohoo! (: time to go back to Shining Inheritance now, byebye!

Challenge

when you think you're trying to give yourself a challenge by starting on a supposedly month-long project just the day before it is due..life outsmarts you and makes you travel half way across the island in futile attempt. and you travel another half way across the island and sit down at a cafe, sip double machiaato and try to do start doing your work by reading the lecture notes. a long night awaits (:

you know that staying out late is hereditary when you come home at 5:30am and find yourself the earliest one home. (:

oh well, so national day plans of staying home to get started on the media project was successfully, unsuccessful. i need God's help plus lots of caffeine and maybe some toothpicks to keep myself awake and alive to complete it tomorrow. anyhow, i had a fun national day weekend! and i hope you had a wonderful one too. :D
Saturday

I love Saturdays, especially stay home saturdays in the afternoon. it's the best time in the week to just recover from friday late nights, and get ready for saturday nights. it just feels good to wake up, realise that its still early, go back to sleep, wake up for lunch and just laze around watching tv, going online on the laptop, take a nap, making plans to go out at night, have dinner and watch some saturday night movie on television, feel a bit lazy and sleepy, the bed seems tempting but you know you gotta meet your friends later, telling yourself 'a while wouldnt hurt i guess', falling asleep and being awoken only because your friend called you to tell you has already reached the place. whoops! quickly bathe, get ready and cab down. Ahh, the luxury of Saturdays (:

ethics my ass.
Procrastination is trendy nowadays. Keep alternating between Facebook and Livejournal and Forever21.com, comment of friend's status, look at photos, disturb people on MSN, i make believe that i am busy. too busy to do my ethics essay. wah lao eh, so boring. ): but i know i must get it over and done with now. this onslaught of ethics readings have made all of us lose our ethical capacities when dealing with essays. i think mr mcgriddles looks like hagrid from harry potter! sigh, drinking too much nescafe plus an afternoon nap has also made me so alive an so awake woohoo! but so distracted manxyz. sudden fascination to just leave everything behind, pack a few clothes into my bagpack, count whatever money i have to my name, take the earliest flight and fly off to somewhere and start life alone, away. sounds so inviting! ;)

okay time to wake up from my dream and continue on Waide's theories.
waide, if you're reading this, shit you!
